What We Collect and How We Use It
From our Web site visitors:
Unless you elect to Opt-out of Tracking, Alantus collects non-personally identifiable information about you when you visit this site including information such as your IP address, the type of browser you are using and when you visited the site. We will also collect your personally identifiable information (PII) that you volunteer in emails or on any of our forms, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, company information and resume information. Alantus may use this information so that you receive the content and information you request and/or would require, for our own marketing purposes or to consider your application for a position with Alantus. This information is not revealed to any third parties for marketing purposes without your permission (via opt-in). We may disclose personal information when required by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law, or comply with a legal process served on our Web site.
The PII you volunteer may be used to send you material about our company, and, only if you choose, promotional material from some of our partners. We may also use your PII to relay administrative information, such as changes to services, privacy policy updates, and pricing structure.
In some instances, we may supply your information to our vendors only for the purpose of providing a service to us, such as fulfilling on our behalf your request for information about our company. We contractually require each of these vendors to protect and refrain from using your information except to the extent necessary to provide services to us.
From Clients using our Alantus service:
Alantus is an Application Service Provider (ASP) that provides a Web site tracking and analysis service, Alantus, to client Web sites. Any data that we collect is owned by the client Web site, not by Alantus, very much like a data "safety deposit box". The results of our analysis are reported via a secure Web interface. Unless otherwise stated in the sales contract, we may collect non-PII about our clients report-viewing habits on this reporting interface, including information such as IP address, the type of browser, and the number and duration of site visits. This information is used for product development purposes, such as assessing proper site performance and security of our services. The only PII we collect is user ID, username and password at the login for confidentiality and security reasons. We may also use the PII provided us, such as name, physical address, telephone number and email address, to relay administrative information (such as change in service, client login instructions, privacy policy updates, and pricing structure changes) or to verify login information.
How We Use cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. We use cookies to help track certain non-personally identifiable Web site metrics, such as the number of new and returning visitors to our site; to provide our clients a "remember password" feature for our Alantus reporting interface; and to enable our "opt-out" features (see opt-out). Our cookies may be linked to PII if you voluntarily provide it to us when you request information and if you have not engaged our opt-out option. However, PII is not used in any of our Web site analytical reports. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site, however the "remember password" and opt-out features will not be enabled.
